Meeting the Aunts!!

What a great weekend! We went to Fargo to meet two of Shawn's aunt's that he's never met before. Meet Lisa and Cherie..aka.."The Aunts".

and their husband's, Scott and Mark...

 They both got down and dirty with the kids at the park.

 Addie had a bit of a hair problem while she was there...

 We took lots of pictures of course!

 Sat around and talked a bit...

 Even Dylon joined us for some family time..

 And of course we took more pics before everyone went home (to Duluth and Minot) today.

I even got to be in a few pics myself... 

All in all, it was a fun weekend.. It was great meeting everyone, and we look forward to many more get togethers down the road.

Jace and I were deep in conversation the other night.. it was kind of late, so if you listen carefully to the first two videos, you may be able to hear Shawn snoring.

 

 

Off to Sucker Creek we go!!

We took the kids to the Sucker Creek Nature Preserve just outside of Detroit Lakes.. It was gorgeous with all the fall colors surrounding us.  They had a blast walking through the trees and leaves.

My cousin Chris got married this weekend.. here are a few family pics from the reception..

1st Day of Kindergarten!!

Well, it's official.. Chase started kindergarten today.  I'm not sure who was more excited, Chase or me, though I may have been feeling more dread than anything.  It was a big day none the less, and I managed to keep my tears on the down low... somehow I managed to avoid a gusher..

 



Summer vacation - Minneapolis

We took the kids on a mini-vacation to Minneapolis.  We started out by visiting Underwater World at the Mall of America.

Then we headed to Nickelodeon Universe for a day of rides.  Both Chase and Addie are FEARLESS!Addie was the one who was trying to convince me to ride the Log ride because "it's not scary mom, see?"

 

Lastly we headed on over to Como Park & Zoo.. I didn't realize we had to drive by the Minnesota State Fair to get there.. then it started raining after we saw the first exhibits (giraffes and zebras).
