Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to everyone from the Zimney's!  We hope your 2010 was as blessed as ours!

Christmas With The Zimney's 2010

Christmas was fun like always.. we had a good time hanging out with family. Started Christmas Eve with sledding, going to Christmas Eve mass, and then having pizza and opening presents at home.
Christmas Day was spent sleeping in for a bit, and seeing what Santa brought for the kids.  We then headed to Grandma Kathy's and hung out with Shawn's brothers, and then it was off to Amma & Boppa's house. Tiff and Eric were there as well as the kids, and Tiff's mom and dad were able to come as well.

 Go Packers/Go Vikings!

Christmas Came Early This Year! Welcome Baby Maddie!

Maddie Lynn was born 12/18/10 at 9:09am.  She was 8 lbs 5.5 oz and 20 in long.
Proud parents: Andrew & Heather
Prouder grandparents: Shawn & Stacy

Already trying to please grandma by posing for pictures.
Heather and Andrew presented us with some ornaments that say Grandma 2010 and Grandpa 2010!

Heather did wonderfully and I would say looks great for being up all night and then going through major surgery this morning.  She ended up going in to the Jamestown Hospital in the middle of the night with contractions. She got an epidural a few hrs later, and then had to have an emergency C-section this morning as the baby's heartrate dropped from the 140's to the low 50's. Luckily little Maddie came into this world healthy and then cried like a good girl.
Dylon enjoyed meeting his little niece. Chase and Addie didn't get to go with us to see Heather but we were able to send him a few picture messages. He is looking forward to meeting his niece as well.
Fortunately Shawn, Dylon and I were able to drive to Jamestown for the evening to see them. All I can say is she is absolutely beautiful, and has two adoring parents who are anxious to start their new life as a family.
It was tough to say goodbye to our Heather, and especially our new prescious Maddie.  But I guess we'll have to wait another few weeks until we can see each other again. We look forward to her first visit to Detroit Lakes.
