Back to School!

My babies are once again off and running. Today was our first day of school.  Addie started Preschool.  She did so good!  Mom got a few quick pics and then she was off to play leaving mom in the dust!  I don't even think I got a hug.  Definitely not the dramatic event I thought it would turn into (thankfully)!

 Chase was super excited about starting 1st grade!  He didn't want mom to bring him on his first day.. he wanted to ride the BUS!

When I woke Addie up this morning, she noticed her princess crown sitting

on her nightstand.  She said "Mommy, my crown is still here... when will prince charming be here?"

Where'd that come from?? I couldn't help but smile.

Easter 2013

The kids were excited about finally getting to color easter eggs.  They didn't break them like last year. (By the time we were done coloring the eggs half of them were cracked.)

 Here are a couple pics from Easter Day.  Dylon was home for the weekend. We had Easter dinner at our house this year (classic ham and cheesy potatoes.)

The kids gave me a few smiles.. (I bribed them with Easter Candy)..They have enough candy from the Easter Bunny that I should be able to bribe them to do things for me for quite a while.

 This past weekend we spent some time with friends. Addie & Owen dressed up like princesses.. (much to his parent's dismay). 

This is Ella.. aka "Cheeks".. so cute!!  I call her Jace's girlfriend (she's about 3 months younger).

 Sunday I took Chase out for some ice skating lessons.. this was only his 2nd time on skates I think.. He had a blast and did pretty good.. until he landed on his head.. then he was done for the day.

Jace is doing this thing now when he eats... he can't be separated from his thumb.

Why not Minot?

 We went to Minot this weekend to see some of Shawn's relatives.  It was such fun..we stayed at a hotel with a water play area for the kids. He got to meet extended family he never knew he had.

 Aunt Cherie is sucking up some Jace time.

 Addie kept sticking her butt under the water spray.. she kept chuckling as her bottoms would fall down....

We ended up driving home while a blizzard was brewing.. and had to stay over in Jamestown for a night.  One perk was that I got to see my Maddie and Heather!

 Snow removal commenced the next day.. both at the hotel, and then at home.

 

The First Six Months

I thought I would pay tribute to J-man as he has reached his 6 month milestone..My husband had the nerve of pointing out that Jace is now closer to 1 year than being born. Time has flown by.. to fast might I add.I may not be the most objective person on the matter, but he sure is cute.

Bathtime

Jace thoroughly enjoyed his bathtime.. especially now that he is not sitting

in the baby tub anymore..plenty of room to splash. (I am sure the bathwater is less concentrated with pee now.. or at least it is more dispersed.)

Jace's Baptism

We celebrated Jace's Baptism this evening.  I didn't make him wear the hat until afterwards..(my mom says he looks just like me when he has the hat on..)

Eric & Tiff were chosen as Godparents.. as they have been for each of my kids. He was absolutely perfect, I couldn't have asked for it to go better.

Jace started on cereal a few months ago, and now has gotten into some of

the veggies too.  As you can see, he LOVES carrots, as well as peas and green beans... he tends to get very vocal if I dont feed him fast enough.

Merry Christmas! My parents gave us tickets to the Vikings vs. Packers game on Dec 30th..

The VIKINGS WON... and we had the opportunity to see them play in their last game at the

Metrodome! It was a blast.. more for me than for Shawn I am guessing.. (although he was still quite cocky on the way home, making bets with our friends and some of my relatives on who would win at Lambeau Field the following week..)

yeah... we all know how that turned out... Damn Webb!!!

Have a Holly Jolly Xmas.. It's the Best Time of the Year!

 We spent the weekend before xmas with my in-laws, Kathy & Sonny..

 I got to meet my new nephew, Austin James.. how sweet he was!

 On Christmas Eve we spent the night with the kids. We went to mass,

had dinner, and opened presents.  Then came time for pictures in their xmas pajamas.

They went to bed like little champs, hoping they would get a visit from Santa!

 Christmas Day we spent with my parents, brother & sister-n-law, and nieces.

 No, this wasn't planned.  Evidently I am now dressing my son

like the toys.
